Is there anything better than the combination of peanut butter and chocolate? It is a perfect marriage. These cupcakes have a perfect balance of saltiness from the peanut butter and sweetness from the chocolate. They are absolutely delicious.
I used my own chocolate cake recipe and adapted the peanut butter cream filling and chocolate ganache from Bobby Flay’s recipe for the Food Network. I decided to use my own chocolate cake recipe because I didn’t have time to make Bobby’s recipe. You could also use a devil food cake mix and follow Bobby’s recipe for the filling and ganache.
I know some people are absolutely against using cake mixes. I’m not. I prefer to bake from scratch, but there are days when I do not have the time. You can take a box mix and doctor it to give it a unique flavor or even add a homemade buttercream to make the cake special.
