How to Perform a Burpee


I thought I would share my Burpee Challenge workout. I typically perform this workout once a month, but lately I have been doing them weekly. My goal is to do 100 burpees in 10 minutes. This week I was able to complete 80 burpees.

I love this challenge. It is a tough workout, but definitely worth the effort.

Below are the steps to perform a burpee.

How to Perform a Burpee

Step 1: Standing position.

Step 2: Squat down and place palms on the ground.

Step 3: Jump feet back or walk back into a plank position.

Step 4: Perform a push up.

Step 5: Return to a plank position.

Step 6: Jump or walk into a squat position like step 2.

Step 7: Power jump straight up with your arms above your head or stand straight up with your arms above your head.

That is how you perform a burpee.

To complete the Burpee Challenge, set a timer for 10 minutes and perform as many burpees as you can while maintaining proper technique.
